The dammusi, dark stone dwellings with rounded roofs, rise like timeless markers, blending seamlessly into the landscape like memories left behind by the waves of past civilizations that have shaped Pantelleria, imprinting their mark on its history and traditions. Even today, ancestral gestures endure—like harvesting capers or crafting the renowned Passito wine—performed with the same passion, as a tribute to the island’s origins.
